This program was super beneficial for me. I can't change people or how they act towards me, but I can change myself and how I interact with them. So...this program helped me become better and has increased my understanding of myself and others, which I believe in return has improved my relationships.

A pilot study was started in March 2015 with 15 participants. They each took a self-assessment questionnaire consisting of 36 questions. Using a five point agree/disagree scale, the participants rated statements such as, “I have anger outbursts,” “I have a hard time getting myself to stop thinking about my problems,” and “I feel worthless and useless.” Each answer was given a score from 0 to 4 that rated the ability to manage that particular emotion, with a possible total score of 144. The blue bars on the graph at the left represent the initial scores.

Then the pilot participants worked through the SEE Drawing Journal 8 week program, one-on-one with Michelle Kamrath, the co-founder of The SEE Journey. After 8 sessions using this method, the participants took the same self-assessment questionnaire. Their final scores were compared to their initial scores and the percentages were normalized to 100%. On the  graph, the blue bar is their initial score, the blue line with a dot is their second score, and the percentage of increase is the light grey line. Every participant increased their score after only 8 sessions!  Those that started with the lowest starting score experienced the greatest increase, while some of those starting higher also increased significantly.
